Missing Links 2022

  This is the one non-Links course we shall be playing - so a great scoring opportunity for some! An early start today but fortunately no-one has to travel very far...  we shall be playing the Championship Old Course, using the Yellow tees which have a slope index of 133. A website full of information available at  https://www.formbygolfclub.co.uk/  which even boasts a dedicated Visitor App... if you can make it work!  A tough course for Day 2 with a slope rating of 142 giving all a few extra shots to play with. Bar is open from 08030 for drinks etc. but please note, golf shoes of any kind NOT permitted in the bar.  One buggy booked for Steve - trolleys available to rent on arrival (please arrange yourselves). Dinner arrangements We are dining at Bistrot Vérité in Southport.  Tables are booked at 19:30 at the restaurant.  Taxis are reserved from the hotel entrance at 19:15.

  This website has been established to provide all 2022 Missing Linkers with the information that they need to make planning their trip as easy as possible. Please feel free to comment on any of the entries if there is anything you think is missing or needs correcting. The 2022 Tour will take place from  Monday 6th June  to  Thursday 9th June . On this occasion, we shall be sampling the delights of the North West... some great courses await though food options are more limited....  It's a fairly long journey, but once we get there everything is close by so no further long drives required until departure. Monday 6th June Please arrange own transport to meet at  Royal Birkdale Golf Club Our tee times are from 13:40, so I would suggest we meet there for a pre-round early lunch by 12:00 latest.  The journey is around 240 miles from Surrey so please allow plenty of time! Once the golf is complete, please make your way to our hotel at Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa , only around 10 minutes away. Dinner in the evening will be at the hotel Fairway Grill and has been booked for 20:30 Tuesday 7th June Morning - at this stage nothing planned.  Our second round of golf will be at Formby Golf Club , again only 10 minutes from the hotel.  Our tee times are from 12:00 so please arrange to be there by around 11:00. Nothing has been arranged for lunch so please cater accordingly. Once the golf is over, please make your way back to the Hotel. We shall need to leave there by 19:15 for dinner at Bistrot V...
